    We’ll be at IFFA from 3-8 May – will we see you there?

    We’re already at the end of April, which means we’re in the final stretch of preparations for our attendance at the highly prestigious IFFA. The event is almost unrivalled in terms of its provenance, having first debuted in the middle of the last century. Since then, it’s grown into the leading international trade fair for the meat and protein industry, and one of the biggest events on our calendar at Cutting Edge Services.

    Just as we have in years past, in 2025, we’re sending a team of our machinery experts to IFFA to meet with our customers and accompany them to many of our supplier stands. There, we’ll demonstrate some of our most sophisticated innovations, designed in line with our core principles of operator safety, yield enhancement, and labour saving.

    A quick introduction to IFFA

    IFFA stands for the Internationale Fleischwirtschaftliche Fachausstellung, which translates as the International Meat Industry Exhibition. Today, it’s widely known as the leading international trade fair for the meat industry, held every three years in Frankfurt, Germany.

    The event showcases cutting-edge technology, machinery, and solutions for both traditional meat production and alternative protein sources. Accordingly, its attendees encompass professionals from across the entire meat processing chain, including slaughtering, processing, packaging, and sales. That includes our team of specialists here at Cutting Edge Services, as well as our customers and internationally-renowned suppliers.

    As you may have seen from our post on the previous event in 2022, our team are already familiar faces with IFFA attendees, and the event neatly aligns with our shared priorities of supporting innovation in food production – primarily through our focus on operator safety, yield enhancement, and labour-saving innovations. Just as before, we’re supporting a number of our suppliers exhibiting at the show, including world-famous names like Nock and Siebeck.

    What you can expect at IFFA 2025

    The theme for IFFA 2025 is “Rethinking Meat and Proteins”, and it’s mainly focused on the evolving world of protein consumption and production. That means we can expect to explore a wide variety of fascinating innovations in meat processing, alternative proteins, and sustainable practices that address changing consumer preferences and environmental concerns.

    Our own experts will be helping to showcase several of our key innovations at our supplier stands. For example, we’ll be using Nock open-top membrane skinners to demonstrate the updated version of our ICO 3000 safety system. This advanced operator system, jointly developed by CES and Nock NPD engineers, activates instantaneously when an operator comes in contact with the surface of the machine. This guarantees maximum operator safety at all times.

    And if you’re not able to be there to see it in person, don’t worry; we’ve got you covered. In the run-up to the event and throughout its duration, we will be showcasing many of our partners, sharing LinkedIn updates on their latest products, and shining a spotlight on some of the products they will have on display.
